Rejuvenated storage pouffe. Covered in blue velvet Rejuvenated storage pouffe. Covered in blue velvet with studs decorating the base this matches the customer’s sofas in their sitting room. It used to be stuck in the corner and only used if they needed extra seating at parties(what are they?). They put it right out in front of the sofa when I delivered it back to them earlier this evening. And that is where it is staying, which is nice. No one puts the storage pouffe in the corner. Very happy customers.

Yesterday I had two chairs that had been left out Yesterday I had two chairs that had been left out in the street and which I rescued back in January. Yesterday I sanded one of them, fixed the arm and the back spindles and added some oil to the wood and it looks beautiful. @warwickfabricsuk fabric arrived this morning too so I will get on to the cushions next week and also renovate the second chair. I think they are going to look amazing and will be for sale. DM for details.

I have 130 followers on here and I’m wondering i I have 130 followers on here and I’m wondering if any of you can help me. I am at an interesting point with my upholstery work. I’m getting quite a lot of work and business is building but I believe I could do more if I were able to find somewhere to work that isn’t my living room floor or my kitchen table. What I need at this stage of my development is a small, watertight, secure work space- preferably somewhere ‘local-ish’ to me on the Southside - that I can set up my equipment, a decent sized table etc. and be able to lock it up at the end of the day (and know my equipment will be safe) and come back the next morning and take up where I left off the day before. Just now I have to dismantle my air compressor, pack my sewing machine away, clean up fabric, adhesive and tools etc. and then unpack them all the next day before I can set to work again. Doing this kind of work in my flat is not ideal. I’ve taken to wandering up and down back lanes in Mount Florida and Kings Park looking at people’s garages and sheds wondering if they might want to rent them to me. I’m on the verge of knocking on doors. Before I do that I thought I’d ask on here if anyone has any ideas. Do you or anyone you know have a decent sized garden shed/garage that is not really used? Or a shop/property sitting empty? It doesn’t necessarily need to be heated- this is physical work so I keep pretty warm. I can’t afford to pay very much but I could pay something and if that means someone earns something for putting their empty space to good use that has to be a good thing? If you have any ideas at all I would be very grateful to hear them. Please don’t hold back - you may have a suggestion you think couldn’t possibly work but, hey, you never know. I’d be pleased to hear it rather than find out something passed me by. And please feel free to tell other people I am looking. DM me if you have any brainwaves? And thanks for reading this.

I have spray painted it with a chalk finish paint in a lovely blue chosen with the customer. I haven’t shown the colour change because the paint finish is so dreadful I wouldn’t want you to see it. Have contacted supplier and, while I wait for a response, I am going to try another make of paint in a satin finish. Ongoing project.

Going to try and reinforce the seat from underneath. Hopefully this time next week it will be transformed. #sirromfurniture
